Arteta is a really good manager but the within the club ones in charge are not backing him with the transfer front. As a team they look average and gone backwards. The manager has a job on his hands to turn around this team. I hope they keep him and give him more time at the club.

We bottled this one. It was there for the taking to overrun Villa and at least come away with a draw but we didn’t sustain going into full gear in the second half. For the period when we did, it was clear that Villa’s defence was cracking under. Also backpass horror show from Soares and Willian 🤦‍♂️ Mat Ryan did ok. Hope despite the loss he enjoyed his debut. Odegaard did well coming on. The lad’s passion to drop an exasperated f-bomb for the shot going over the top shows for me his desire to hit the ground running. It would have been quite a wonder goal. It’s clear he’s operating a bit as a “free man” and not a 10 embedded into the squad like De Bruyne. More of a wild card thrown in to change up the game and Odegaard is more than able to do that with his technical skills. Nice to see him with ESR but I don’t think there’s any synergy yet. Arteta has a big decision to make whether to build around ESR or Odegaard for 21/22. Arteta needs to brush up on Plan A, and continue to formulate a viable Plan B. Again I don’t think we were comprehensively defeated. We just did ourselves in again with a performance level that wasn’t enough to draw/win the game. Lol at Dean Smith and Barkley’s bust up. Smith’s reaction to the bottle kick 🤣 Villa is doing well but Smith might be losing the dressing room with a couple of big egos bubbling. I won’t be surprise to see a change of coach for Villa in the summer to keep hold of Grealish

We should've done a lot better but fact is Villa should have had a red card and we should have had a penalty. If those were given correctly we'd have won. We're getting very unlucky with referee decisions. There's also many fouls here and there that were incorrectly punished too.

Arteta needs to stop on individual flair for attacking movement, he needs to develop a new attacking movement playstyle. We are often clueless when high up the pitch.

We do look clueless but we keep making mistakes in that area imo. How often do we get to the final third only for Pepe to make a poor touch or poor pass etc. Bellerin also did more than a few and Saka one or two. Too many individual mistakes.
